Ontwikkelaar Deck13 komt volgende week met een grote uitbreiding voor The Surge 2 genaamd Kraken. Uitgever Focus Home Interactive heeft aangegeven dat de uitbreiding vanaf 16 januari speelbaar is maar season pass-bezitters kunnen vanaf de 14e al aan de slag met de Kraken-uitbreiding. Deze voegt meer verhaal, locaties, wapens en natuurlijk baasgevechten toe aan de game.
