Sony Interactive Entertainment laat vandaag via de onderstaande blog post weten dat het tijdelijk downloadsnelheden ietsje gaat verlagen.
Downloads van games en updates kunnen hierdoor iets langer duren, maar wat betreft gameplay tijdens multiplayer-games, geeft Sony aan dat je er niets van gaat merken. Sony neemt deze maatregel om de druk op internetproviders ietsje te verlagen. Mensen die thuis zijn door het gevaar van het Coronavirus, zitten namelijk nu massaal op het internet.
Als je dus te maken krijgt met langzamere downloads op de PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 of de PlayStation Vita, dan ligt het niet aan jou.
Playing videogames enables players all over the world to connect with friends and family and enjoy much needed entertainment during these uncertain times. Sony Interactive Entertainment is working with internet service providers in Europe to manage download traffic to help preserve access for the entire internet community.
We believe it is important to do our part to address internet stability concerns as an unprecedented number of people are practicing social distancing and are becoming more reliant on internet access.
