Casey Hudson, de ex-game directeur van de Mass Effect-trilogie, die later werd gepromoveerd tot General Manager bij BioWare, is begonnen met een eigen studio.
De nieuwe studio heet Humanoid Studios en is gevestigd in Canada. Wat voor game deze studio gaat maken, zegt Hudson niet. Wel zegt hij dat het een gloednieuwe IP gaat worden. Verder benadrukt Hudson dat Humanoid Studios is opgericht als onafhankelijke studio waar vrijheid en creativiteit centraal gaat staan.
