Amazon heeft vandaag de officiële titel van de langverwachte The Lord of the Rings tv-serie bekendgemaakt, samen met een eerste trailer en een releasedatum.
De tv-serie heet officieel The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Het speelt zich af in het verre verleden voor de films van Peter Jackson, waar The Rings of Power nog gemaakt moeten worden en waar The Dark Lord Sauron nog moet verschijnen.
De serie is vanaf 2 september 2022 te zien op Amazon Prime Video. Aan dit project is jarenlang gewerkt en het budget is de grootste ooit namelijk 465 miljoen dollar.
