Producent Yasuhiro Kita van From Software heeft tijdens de Taipei Games Show aangegeven dat de main route van Elden Ring in ongeveer 30 uur uit te spelen is.
Dit gaat alleen over de main route. Voor wie alles wil doen in de game waaronder optionele bazen, quests, dungeons en geheime plekken, is er nog tientallen uren extra gameplay. Nadat je het spel hebt uitgespeeld, kan je een New Game+ starten waarbij de moeilijkheid omhoog gaat, maar je alle gear, levels en abilities blijft behouden.
“This will differ significantly by player, but in terms of targets set during development, the idea is that the main route should be able to be completed within around 30 hours,”
“The game as a whole is quite massive and contains many dozens more hours’ worth of gameplay, but if we are talking about the main route only, it shouldn’t take much longer than that.”
“With the world being so vast, the game is designed so that it can be cleared without necessarily experiencing everything,”
“Some players will prefer to try and explore the entire map the first time while other will leave some areas for exploration in second or subsequent cycles.”
“Technically, it’s impossible to reach 100% due to the fact that there are branching points near the end, but you can certainly get pretty close.”
Elden Ring is vanaf 25 februari 2022 verkrijgbaar zijn voor de PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One en PC. Wie de current-gen-versie van de game koopt, kan later gratis upgraden naar de next-gen-versie.
