Star Ocean-fans kunnen alweer uitkijken naar een nieuwe game. Tijdens de recente Nintendo Direct-presentatie werd de game Star Ocean: The Second Story R aangekondigd met de onderstaande trailer.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R is een remake van de tweede deel in de franchise met verbeterde graphics. Alles in deze remake is opnieuw gemaakt maar dan in een prachtige 2.5D-stijl. Alles wat het origineel zo memorabel maakte is behouden, maar de gameplay is vernieuwd waaronder real time gevechten, cooking en progressie.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R verschijnt op 2 november 2023 voor de Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 en de Nintendo Switch. De game krijgt een prijskaartje van €49,99.
