Voor velen was de actiegame Black Myth Wukong, de beste game van de Gamescom afgelopen week. De game maakte indruk met prachtige graphics en snelle hack & slash gameplay waarbij je niet kan blocken, alleen ontwijken.
Met name de baasgevechten zien er verbluffend uit. Alle boss fights zijn geheel anders van elkaar waarbij de bazen beschikken over unieke movesets. Zo is de Stone Vanguard in het voorbeeld hieronder langzaam, maar heel sterk. De Black Loong is een monster die beschikt over twee wapens die hij combineert met het element elektriciteit waar je rekening mee moet houden. In de tweede video hieronder, is een baasgevecht te zien tegen een enorme tijger. Hier staat snelheid centraal waardoor je gedwongen wordt om heel nauwkeurig aanvallen te ontwijken, anders krijg je het behoorlijk lastig.
Black Myth: Wukong is geïnspireerd door de Chinese literatuur Journey to the West en Chinese mythologie. De game heeft nu ook een releasewindow gekregen. Black Myth: Wukong verschijnt in de zomer van 2024. De game is vooralsnog enkel aangekondigd voor de PC via Steam.
