Naast Mortal Kombat 1, de twaalfde nieuwe mainline game in de franchise, brengt Warner Bros. Games deze week nog een Mortal Kombat-game genaamd Mortal Kombat: Onslaught.
Mortal Kombat: Onslaught is een free-to-play game voor Android en iOS. De game is ontwikkeld door NetherRealm, de studio achter de geprezen Mortal Kombat vechtgames. Mortal Kombat Onslaught is een nieuwe real-time verzamelrollenspel (cRPG) wat zich afspeelt in het Mortal Kombat-universum. De game bevat een story mode die draait om de kwaadaardige god Shinnok die uit is op vernietiging. Het verhaal wordt gepresenteerd met filmische cutscenes. De game bevat meerdere speelbare personages waaronder Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Kitana, Cyrax en Smoke. Spelers stellen een team van vier personages samen.
