Ava and the Half-World is een kleurrijke 2D roguelike actiegame. Deze game combineert het klassieke 2D shooting met moderne 2D roguelike gameplay van populaire games. Spelers moeten vliegen, schieten en verkennen om de Sidereal Riptide te bereiken, een duisternis die zorgt dat eilanden van elkaar vandaan drijven. Jij bent Ava, een persoon geboren in het hart van Sidereal Riptide. Jij moet vechten om het einde van de wereld te voorkomen. Net als andere roguelike games, is iedere run net wat anders met nieuwe soorten vijanden, uitdagingen en gameplay mogelijkheden.
