Filmproducent Lionsgate werkt momenteel aan een Borderlands-film en één belangrijke naam voor de case is bekendgemaakt. Acteur Kevin Hart gaat de soldaar Roland spelen in de live action Borderlands-film. Gamers zullen Roland herkennen uit de eerste paar Borderlands-games.

Kevin hart speelde laatst in 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level. Het is niet bekend voor wanneer de Borderlands-film gepland staat.
