[UPD.] Als je PS Plus met korting hebt gekocht, eist Sony geld terug voor upgrades naar een hogere tier

In Azië is sinds gisteren de vernieuwde PlayStation Plus beschikbaar. Veel mensen willen upgraden van PS Plus Essential naar Extra of Premium, maar enkele mensen kwamen een verrassing tegen.

Wat blijkt? Mensen die een jaarabonnement op PlayStation Plus met korting hadden gekocht en willen upgraden naar een hogere tier, het resterende bedrag ook moeten betalen aan Sony. De korting die je dus eerder had gekocht, wordt tenietgedaan.

Vooralsnog is dit alleen in Azië. Het is mogelijk dat PlayStation Europa dit anders aanpakt.

Vanaf 23 juni 2022 is de vernieuwde PS Plus ook beschikbaar in Nederland en België. PlayStation Plus Essential kost jaarlijks €60, PlayStation Plus Extra kost jaarlijks €100 en PlayStation Plus Premium kost jaarlijks €120. Meer informatie per PS Plus tier lees je hier.

UPDATE: Sony heeft dit zojuist teruggedraaid in de PlayStation Stores in Azië. De prijzen die worden weergegeven zijn weer normaal, zie tweet hieronder. Volgens Sony ging het om een technische fout.
