Big Helmet Heroes is een beat ’em up action adventure game die je alleen of met vrienden in lokale co-op modus kan spelen. Er zijn vier verschillende vechtstijlen die je kan gebruiken die allemaal uniek doen aanvoelen. Als een rogue ben je de meester van snelheid en stealth kills. De Warrior daarentegen is een tank als het ware die veel kan incasseren en hard kan uithalen. Iedere hero heeft verder ultieme hero-aanvallen.
