Capcom en IGN hebben een samenwerking aangekondigd voor de maand januari 2024. Gedurende deze maand, krijgt IGN de exclusieve mogelijkheid om de game vroeg te spelen en daar beelden van vrij te geven.
De eerste video is inmiddels vrijgegeven en is bijna 19 minuten aan gloednieuwe gameplay. De gameplay video laat de Vocations Fighter, Thief, Warrior en Sorcerer kort zien. Iedere Vocation beschikt over eigen vaardigheden en speelstijl.
Dragon’s Dogma II is een single player RPG van de makers van Devil May Cry en de enige echte Hideaki Itsuno staat aan het roer van dit project. In deze fantasy RPG worden je teamgenoten bestuurd door de AI. Er is geen co-op en geen multiplayer. Dit is een pure single player ervaring zoals een The Witcher met heel veel replaywaarde, want iedere class beschikt over eigen mechanics en vaardigheden en progressie. Er zijn aan het begin van de game vier Vocations namelijk Fighter, Archer, Thief en Mage. Later in de game krijg je toegang tot nog geavanceerde Vocations namelijk Magick Archer, Trickster en Mystic Spearhand.

- Single-Player Cooperation – Up to three mysterious otherworldly beings, known as Pawns, accompany the Arisen throughout their journey. Pawns create the feeling of a cooperative gameplay experience by offering unique characteristics, skills, and knowledge gained from their experiences with other Arisen.
- Made with RE ENGINE – Capcom’s advanced RE ENGINE produces vividly detailed, high fidelity graphics combined with immersive physics and complex and reactive character AI to create a setting where decisions, and their consequences, come to life
