Ontwikkelaar 1047 Games heeft de eerste gameplaybeelden van de nieuwe free-to-play shooter Splitgate 2 vrijgegeven. De trailer is hieronder te bekijken.
Splitgate 2 heeft enkele grote veranderingen ten opzichte van de eerste game. Zo zijn de visuals voorzien van een grote upgrade voor een moderne uitstraling. Verder is er een factie-systeem. Er zijn drie facties waaruit je kan kiezen. Deze beschikken over eigen vaardigheden, playstyle, zwakke en sterke punten.
Splitgate was een grote hit in 2021, maar het succes was een beetje te veel voor een kleine indie studio. In 2022 besloot de studio om Splitgate offline te halen en later groots terug te keren met financiële steun van andere partijen. Inmiddels zijn we twee jaar verder en vandaag wordt Splitgate 2 eindelijk uit de doeken gedaan. Splitgate 2 wordt ontwikkeld met de geavanceerde Unreal Engine. Met meer mankracht, financiële steun van externe partijen en een betere planning, hoopt de ontwikkelaar om met Splitgate 2 het succes van de eerste game zelfs overtreffen.
