Sony en ontwikkelaar Polyphony Digital zijn begonnen met het uitrollen van een grote nieuwe update voor de sim racegame Gran Turismo 7.
De update voegt drie nieuwe auto’s toe aan de game namelijk de BVLGARI Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo, de Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept en de Suzuki Jimny XC ’18. Alle drie auto’s zijn in de trailer hieronder te zien. Verder zijn er twee nieuwe menu’s aan de game toegevoegd. Dit zijn als het ware quests in-game waar je moet racen voor beloningen en waar je meer informatie krijgt over specifieke auto’s of een merk. De eerste nieuwe menu gaat over Nissan Motorsports en de tweede over het merk Dodge.
Daar blijft het niet bij, want de update komt ook nog eens met twee nieuwe World Circuits events:
- Jimny Cup
- Sardegna – Windmills/Willow Springs International Raceway/Lake Louise
- Vision Gran Turismo Trophy
- Tokyo Expressway/Autodromo Nazionale Monza
De volledige patch notes van Gran Turismo 7 update 1.42 zijn onder de trailer te vinden. De update is geheel gratis voor iedereen die Gran Turismo 7 in huis heeft. Indien je Gran Turismo 7 een tijdje niet hebt gespeeld, moet je handmatig de update binnen halen door de game één keer op te starten of door zelf op ‘zoeken naar updates’ te drukken.
Gran Turismo 7 is verkrijgbaar voor de PlayStation 4 en PlayStation 5. De game is ook volledig te spelen in Virtual Reality door middel van de PlayStation VR 2 headset in 360 graden. Wie de PS4-versie van Gran Turismo 7 koopt kan voor €9,99 upgraden naar de betere PS5-versie. Indien je de 25th Anniversary Edition koopt, krijg je zowel de PS4 als de PS5-versies van de game.
