Het verhaal van Commanods Origins speelt zich voor de klassieke games af, dit is dus een prequel. Deze game geeft je wederom controle over de iconische Elite Force tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. The Green Beret, the Sapper, the Sniper, the Driver, the Marine en the Spy moeten samenwerken om missies die als onmogelijk worden gezien, toch succesvol te voltooien. Commandos Origins staat gepland voor lancering in het jaar 2024 voor de PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X en de PC via Steam en de Epic Games Store. De game wordt ook volledig speelbaar vanaf de dag van release voor leden van Xbox Game Pass.
