CI Games heeft bekendgemaakt dat de PlayStation 5-versie van Sniper Ghost Warrior is uitgesteld.
De game stond gepland voor een release op 4 juni 2021, maar wordt nu verschoven naar later in 2021. Als reden worden enkele technische problemen die moeten worden opgelost genoemd.
Om gamers te compenseren, wordt de eerste major downloadable content gratis beschikbaar gemaakt in plaats van dat het geld zou kosten. Dit is een grote nieuwe map met gloednieuwe contracts.

“We could not have foreseen these issues. However, we would like to assure our players that our highly experienced, professional and dedicated team are working hard with the platform holder and engine provider to resolve the problems as soon as feasibly possible, to ensure we can bring the PlayStation 5 community the high caliber sniping game they have been waiting for. We will offer a free digital upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version with all physical and digital purchases of the PlayStation 4 release.”
